Haunted House card

Hi friends! I hope all of you had an enjoyable weekend. I spent some time locked away in my No Boys Allowed room working on my project for the blog hop I will be in on Thursday. (See the upper right side bar). I really hope to see all my best blogging buds join in for the fun and prizes! Along with working on my project I also made a little card which just so happens to fit the criteria for the Getting Cricky Simply Sunday challenge. The criteria is to use black and orange with only one extra color. In my case that color is a dark, almost blue) purple.

This card was super easy to make. When I look at it I think of how exciting it would be to go through a real haunted house! Then again, I'd probably run out screaming so I will stick to looking at this card. I think I've had a few moments of what could be called paranormal activity, have any of you? I really would love to hear them and this time of year is the best to share ghost stories! lol! The stamp is from a MS set and I really had one heck of a time getting the black ink thick enough. I started with Momento's but it wasn't giving me the dark look I wanted so I added Staz On ink over the Momento ink and it worked perfect!

I'll be checking in on all of you shortly. I don't know if it's from the days getting shorter but I am sooooo tired tonight.  I have to knock that off or I'm in store for a very long winter!

Spook-tacular Haunted House card. I'm not fond of real Haunted Houses since the ones here in TX are of the TX Chainsaw variety and they are very scary to me. I do have a friend that has told me of some ghost activity. Her daughter lives in a house that was built on the property that use to be her great grandparents. One happening was that the hamper upstairs was moved couple times. Another happening was when she was in bed she saw a woman floating above her and when she looked at a photo album she pointed to a photo that showed her great grandmother and the outfit she was wearing is what she saw her wearing when she saw her floating above her bed.

Hiya, Susan!!! Oooooh, I love this cute "suppose-to-be-spooky-but-NOT" card!!! It's too cute to scare but at the same time it's a eerie fun!!! LOL! Hope that makes sense to you -- doesn't to me but I know what I mean... LOL!!!

EEK, this card scares me a little, Susan! In a good way, though! I LOVE haunted houses!! The dark blue/purple color gives such an eerie glow to the card! What did you use for the background texture? It is so awesome!

Unfortunately, I have no spooky spirit stories of my own to share. My mom works in the psychology department of a university and she used to go to this room with old records and she felt the presence of a ghost as she read through the old case files... but it was a good ghost. She sensed happiness, not evil. That's about the extent of my touch with the paranormal. I've always been fascinated with it, though (Again, I think it is that whole forbidden Catholic school thing that made me want to know more!)

I hope you are doing well and feeling well my dear friend!! Of course I will be back to see your awesome projects for the Halloween Blog Hop!! And thanks so much for linking up with our Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge :)

Awesome card Susan! Very spooky and creepy a bit. I never have wanted to go into haunted houses before. I think my brothers scared the ba-geebies out of me when I was little over Halloween that I am a big ol' scardy cat now! LOL! TFS!

Adorable card!! Don't ever do the haunted house at the state fair. The one and only time I went to the fair, we went the haunted house. It was soooo scary and someone touched me! I don't do haunted houses anymore. :)
