Ready for a few chuckles and a surprise? Just a fair warning, I'm not posting any craft project this time. Nope, today I am posting about other fun things so if you are still interested proceed with caution! *****************************************************************************
Oh, I'm so glad you're still with me, it will be well worth it. Many of you know I live in Minnesota. For me, the best thing about living in Minnesota is my beloved Mall of America, or MOA (pronounced mow a) as we locals call it. Many locals don't like this mall due to the crowds and the size. I say bring it on! With over 400 stores it is in my mind the best thing since hormone replacement therapy. Did I really just say that? Sorry, I'm in the middle of a hot flash right now. (Did you know your ovary can grow back? Yep, mine did but that's another post!) Ok, back to MOA. So yes, it is a very large mall and back in the day, say 5 years ago, I could walk around all day and night for days on end just taking it all in. Now when I go I have to make a list of stores I want to hit and try to get to them before my body tells me "forgettaboutit". But when that happens I get a scooter and carry on my mission! Hey, don't knock those scooters, they are a flippin blast! Let's say I love the horn feature, he he he. One store I always go to is Archiver's, located on the 3rd level by Bloomingdale's. This store has just about everything a papercrafter would want and then some. Here's a picture:
I felt like such a tourist taking this picture but I don't care. I thought one of you may want to see it. Now I'm pretty lucky because I also have an Archiver's in the town I live in but it's not nearly as big as this one. What I'm starting to learn is just how big papercrafting is in Minnesota. I mean, it can snow as early as the beginning of October and as late as May- that's a lot of cold weather! So papercrafting is a great way for women to socialize in those long months. Actually, there was a movie a few years back with Rene Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. (yum) called New In Town that was about a career minded big city girl moving to a small Minnesota town. Part of the story included the local women that scrapbook together and I have to say, that movie wasn't too far off the mark! Where was I, gez, oh yes, Archiver's. While I was at Archiver's I picked up a little somethin somethin for one of my lucky blog buds. (That's one of you if you're paying attention here). lol! I wanted to do something really nice for all you wonderful people that read my blog and leave me such kind comments. So starting today, any new comments left by a follower on this post or any new posts of mine for the next 7 days will be entered to win a $15.00 gift card from Archiver's! (Limit one comment per post, to keep it fair).

How do I pick the winner? Well, I don't pick the winner. And I don't do the random picker either. If you want to see how my winners are picked you will have to check out my blog entry from Monday, June 13th. Trust me, it's a very fair system! As a side note, if you win and you don't have an Archiver's by your home the online site does NOT accept gift cards YET (per the store manager). No worries. If you win you can either hold on to the card until they do start accepting them, which shouldn't be too long now, or you can go online and shop, tell me what you want and I will go to the store and pick it up for you. I will then mail it to you as long as postage is kept below $5.00 and your order is not exceeding $15.00. Of course, you could always come visit and I can take you to the store. It's your decision! ;)
I will post the video of the drawing and announce the winner on Tuesday, August 16th.
Now that we took care of that, want to hear about my Pajama Jeans I bought yesterday? (Yes, I did. And I LOVE them!) Goodness, hormones and stretchy jeans....I'm officially getting old(er).
Good luck ladies!
Susan

I LOVE Archivers! You're so lucky to live by the MOA! I live about 3 hours away (but have an Archivers about 30 miles from home). So the big question for you is... are you going to Scrapfest in September? If you're going-I'd love to meet you while I'm there!

I love Archivers! We do have one here! However, I don't think it's nearly as large as the one in the MOA!!!
I have heard of Archivers but have not gotten the chance to go to one! Not one by me nor anywhere near the past few travels I have been on!
I just moved to Newfoundland, Canada permanently, so I am sure I might be seeing similar winters soon!
So, lucky you for the MOA location...it's on my "to see/go list" and I will have to check out if I can see that movie too!

Oops! Forgot to tell you I am following you now!

Oh Susan...You are SO super super super sweet. Thank you So much for checking in on me. I really appreciate it so much. I have been trying to save these little kittens who are living in a drain in a parking lot about 4 minutes from where I live, worrying about my friend Vic who has cancer, worrying about my close high schoolfriend Dawnetta because she lost one of her best friends in a tragic car accident, I have been really worrying about that man with the sign Terry and I am super stressed about him. For the past 2 weeks I have looked ALL over for him and I cannot find him. So I am really worried about him. Then last night I did not sleep not one single wink. I was up all night on my computer. That is how stressed I am. I have been calling all around to find a no kill shelter for these 3 kittens, plus I have been feeding them every single day and it is just alot of stress and worry. But I am here I really so appreciate you checking in on me. How sweet of you honey. You are just so darn sweet and I wish I could give you a huge hug to thank you for thinking about me and worrying about me like you do. So so so sweet!! Once I get a little rest I will be posting a few posts either tonight or tomorrow. But to my surprise today I got a brand new sponsor for a new giveaway but I have to wait until my current giveaway is over which will be the 15th. And I added you in it you little sweetie pie you. You DESERVE to be added in. Thank you for caring about me and thank you for checking up on me. That was really so sweet and I just feel so blessed to know you. Many hugs to you Susan... Thank you again honey!! I am stressed and really worried about everyone and everything thing but I am ok!! Just hanging in there like I always do!! Hugs!! Susan you are so funny! It is really sweet for you to give away a gift card. I don't have a Archiver's here. I do 90% of my shopping online. Now onto Big Brother!! Brendan will probably come back! OMGosh. He will have to fight Lawon, wow! Then both of them will be in the house, I am pulling my hair out, and yelling at the TV all night. We are remodeling our house and I do not need this extra stress:))) I still find it so sad that Jeff and Jordan are with those ugly people, especially him! They make me nuts!! Hugs, Pam at http://craftycards4u2.blogspot.com/
Hi Susan! I too love Archivers. We don't have too many in Illinois but luckily I work right by one.

Anyway I was looking you up to thank you for your kind words on the loss of my Mom, it meant more to me than you will ever know. Your online friendship has also meant a lot to me and one day I hope to actually meet you! I hope things calm down for me soon and I can start to scrap again, I think scrapping is good for the soul!
